Businessman Imraaz Iqbal said his recent arrest by police and allegations leveled against him that he was dealing with arms and explosives had directly affected his business.
Iqbal said he might have to close his Suva Office because people hardly want to do business with him after serious allegations leveled against him.
According to him he lost almost half a million dollars in a fire in 2006 and now after the allegations, it’s very difficult for his business to survive.
Imraaz Iqbal was taken into police custody with a few others in relation to the investigations into the missing firearms during 2000 coup.
Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni yesterday revealed that they are going through the statements collected and a decision will be made on the progress of the investigation.
