It is all systems go as the owners of Fiji’s first casino start off work on delivering the huge project by October next year.
The $290 million project will include a five star casino with 500 slot machines and 54 table games.
There will also be 190 rooms and luxury suites.
A state of the art convention center will also be included with a 1,500 seating capacity.
One Hundred Sands Limited chairperson Larry Claunch said all approvals have been given and they have secured the lease for the land in Denarau.
They are now working with their American architects.
The casino and convention centre will create 900 jobs for completion of construction, and 700 more jobs once the casino, convention centre, and hotel are completed.
