The International Rugby Board has confirmed that every round of the Sevens Series will now carry the same number of points.

Formerly the Hong Kong tournament carried more points than the other rounds of the Series.

This will no longer be the case, bringing the Series in line with other Grand Prix style events such as Formula One.

The Hong Kong tournament will retain its status as the only 24 team event, and will continue to be played across three days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, ensuring that fans continue to be treated to the entertainment Sevens competition.

This weekend the USA Sevens is for 3 days and will start on Saturday at 12pm with Fiji taking on Argentina, at 2.56pm Fiji will face host USA and on Sunday at 9.06am Fiji will take on Canada.

Cup quarter finals will begin at 1.52pm on Sunday.

Cup Semi finals will begin at 7.32am on Monday and Cup finals will be played at 10.28am.

Currently, New Zealand leads with 73 points, Fiji on second place with 70 points and England at 3rd spot on 64 points.
