For the first time ever, all departments within the Fiji Rugby Union and business partners have come together to forge a new roadmap for FRU.
FRU chairman Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said the key outcome for the two day workshop is to roll out the strategic plans that will encompass two Rugby World Cups of 2015 and 2019 and produce annual corporate plans leading up to 2019.
Colonel Tikoitoga added that in the past years, FRU’s planning sessions were limited to the High Performance Unit with annual reviews with minimum or no interaction with the other units within FRU such as the administration, finance, marketing, operations and IT.
He said this new direction will be a good sign for the organization as it sets new goals under a new head coach, coaching director and CEO, with very clear direction and outcomes by the board.
The two day workshop is being facilitated by Meli Nacuva who will also train and help members on how to establish a Balanced Scorecard System in FRU.
The workshop will be finishing tomorrow afternoon.
