All Whites captain Chris Wood may not play any further part in the Oceania Nations Cup.
New Zealand Football has confirmed the striker has a left shoulder injury after falling awkwardly in a late challenge in a 5-0 win over Vanuatu on Tuesday.
Wood who scored two goals in the first six minutes before suffering the injury in the 10th minute would not be available for the All Whites final group B match against the Solomon Islands on Saturday.
The winner of the competition which is the second round of Oceania qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia qualifies for next year’s Confederations Cup.
