The eyes of the world are on South Africa and the All Whites are about to play the biggest game in New Zealand football's history but the New Zealand side said that they have no concerns.

All Whites captain, Ryan Nelsen said there is no concerns about his teammates succumbing to the pressure when they face off with Slovakia tonight.

Nelsen said that their World Cup playoff against Bahrain in Wellington was more pressurised than their World Cup opener against Slovakia tonight at 11.30pm.

He said that the team' has gained a lot of experience now and things do not daunt them as much as it used to in the past.

Meanwhile, looking at games played earlier this morning World champions Italy drew 1 1 against Paraguay after a goalkeeping error let them back into the game, Netherlands began their FIFA World Cup campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Denmark at Soccer City.

In another match played this morning Japan beat Cameroon 1-0.

Meanwhile, New Zealand plays Slovakia at 11.30pm tonight, Ivory Coast and Portugal take the field at 2am tomorrow and five time world Champions, Brazil plays North Korea at 6.30am tomorrow.
