All the procedures were followed in obtaining the stay order on the High Court Judgment by Justice Filimoni Jitoko to stop all Draft People's Charter work.

The former Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase had earlier said they were disappointed with the stay order granted by Justice John Bryne on the High Court ruling by Justice Filimoni Jitoko to stop all work on the Draft People's Charter.
Qarase had stated before the stay was given that Justice Jitoko's ruling had given them a renewed sense of confidence in Fiji's judiciary.
Yesterday, the Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Saiyed-Khaiyum filed an application of stay on the decision by Justice Filimoni Jitoko to stop all the Peoples Charter process which was granted by Justice Bryne.
