The outgoing Deputy Commissioner of the FICAC Captain Esala Teleni said they will get all the big sharks involved in corruption still swimming out there.

In a statement, Captain Teleni said he wanted to make it clear that the overriding factor of the military intervention on December 5th was to carry out a clean up and readjustment of Fiji.

Captain Teleni said FICAC was established in support of the President's mandate. He said one of Ratu Josefa Iloilo's mandates given to the interim government is to eradicate corruption and develop strategies on how to prevent corruption especially against the public sector and statutory bodies.

Since its establishment on the 1st February, FICAC has received approximately over 1000 complaints of which 242 are currently being investigated.
