All the people who were holding constitutional appointments have been dismissed due to the abrogation of the constitution, and it’s not known at this stage who will take up the vacant positions.

From this morning, police officers have been deployed to the court houses around the country, the Director of Public Prosecutions Office, the Fiji Human Rights Commission Office and the Reserve Bank of Fiji building.

We have also received confirmation that Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Savenaca Narube has been dismissed.

It’s not known whether Narube will be re-appointed and all this will be reviewed.

Police officers are at the RBF Office to ensure that no one enters the RBF Governor's Office.

At this stage, it’s not known whether the same people will be re-appointed to their positions.

All judges, magistrates and judicial officers were also dismissed over the weekend.
