New Zealand have returned to the top of the IRB World Rankings following a weekend of international matches which saw numerous changes to the Top 10 with only Australia remaining static in 3rd place.

South Africa's 20-13 loss to France saw them lose the number 1 spot which has now been regained by the All Blacks, after they lost the placing in July.

Australia remained in 3rd spot while France are now in 4th place after beating South Africa.

Ireland now drops to 5th spot although they hold Australia to a 20 all draw.

England's 16-9 win against Argentina saw them climb two places to 6th position while the Pumas are now in 7th place and while Wales are 8th.

Scotland's 23-10 win against Fiji guaranteed them the 9th rank while Fiji is now 10th in the IRB rankings.
