After the stunning All Blacks win in the Rugby World Cup quarterfinal against France, former Wallabies Mark Ella says the French were not poor and the All Blacks are just extraordinary.

Ella said that when the All Blacks play like the way they beat France, there is not a team in the world that can touch them.

Two games from the All Blacks in the professional era come to mind when searching for comparisons with their 49‑point win in Cardiff.

One was the 49‑6 hiding they gave Australia in mud, rain, and wind in Wellington at Athletic Park in 1996, when it was 25 minutes in the appalling conditions before a single pass went to ground.

The other was in 1995 in the Cup semifinal against England, the day when Jonah Lomu squashed Mike Catt and became the legend he is.

Ella said the ingredients are all there in the 2015 side to now march on and the only thing not tested is their scrum.

The Wallabies great added that wing Julian Savea’s hunger that seemed muted in pool play was an extremely hungry performance while Dan Carter ran the game like a chess master.

The All Blacks will take on the Springboks at 4am Sunday in the first semifinal while the Wallabies will take on Argentina at 5am Monday in the second semi.
