Boxer Joy Ali is hoping that his fight against Samoan Miki Lopati will not go for the full 10 rounds.

Ali is expecting to end the fight within 5 or six rounds in the Prasad's Boxing Promotions programme tonight.

His father Farzan Ali said Joy has really trained well for the fight and is going for a knockout victory in front of his home crowd.

He said in three years this is the first time Ali will enter the ring in the western division and is confident that his son will not let his fans down, although Lopati has a good boxing record in his homeland Samoa.

The Joy Ali and Miki Lopati fight will be held today at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The fights from the amateur division will start at 4:30pm.
