The price of alcohol and local spirits will increase across the board from June 1st.
Fosters Group Pacific general manager Ross Shaw confirmed that their beer prices will increase by 5%, Ready to Drink beverages will increase by 8% and spirit prices will increase by 10%.
Shaw said following the devaluation of the Fiji dollar in April, the company did all it can to hold off the price increases which has now become a necessity.
And due to the economic downturn in Fiji and in Samoa, Fosters Group has also taken a number of steps to reduce its operational costs across the board.
Meanwhile, despite the current circumstance, Shaw said while sales volume is low, they expect their four companies to make modest profits at the end of their current financial year.
