15 year old Danni Alakija has qualified for the World Junior Championships in Barcelona.
She won the 200 meters event at the Ventura County track and field championships in USA with a time of 24.33 seconds.
She is now just one second off the Olympic B standard qualifying time of 23.30 seconds.
Her coach Maurice Greene also said the 400 meters qualifying time is within reach and just around the corner.
Alakija who is trying to represent Fiji at the London Olympics also anchored her 4 by 100 and 4 by 400 relay teams to victory and broke the Ventura County Record in the process.
