The National Airline Company Air Pacific and Cathay Pacific has announced code share partnership between Air Pacific's twice weekly flight between Nadi and Hong Kong.

Air Pacific Managing Director John Campbell said that Cathay Pacific is recognized as one of the world's leading airlines and has long been known for high standards of service.

He said as a major global airline, Cathay's enormous marketing strength will benefit the new Hong Kong service and Fiji.

Campbell said that this is the first time scheduled services have operated between the two countries and customers can now conveniently connect via Hong Kong with points such as London, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai.

He said with visas being stamped on arrival, Hong Kong will be very convenient for Fiji citizens to travel to and beyond.

Now Air Pacific's Boeing 767 flights will depart Nadi at 8.55am and arrive in Hong Kong at 3.10pm on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Flights will depart Hong Kong at 5pm and arrive back in Nadi at 7am on Fridays and Saturdays.
