Air Pacific staff will today find out whether further cost cutting measures will be implemented, a major decision discussed at a meeting between the airline management and the Transport Workers Union last night.

Both parties came to an agreement last night on the issues, however, details will be released once the agreement is signed by both parties this morning.

Cost cutting measures already undertaken by the airline includes reduced working hours due to the downgrading of flights, the encouragement of taking annual leave and for cabin crew, leave without pay if they wish.

These measures are undertaken to ensure the airline remains financially stable in light of the global financial crisis.
