An American Samoan airline company is currently in intense negotiations with the government of Fiji to start services to and from Fiji with intentions to also service the domestic routes within the country.
Director Civil Aviation Akuila Waradi revealed to Fijivillage that they are putting in the final touches to the talks before any further announcements are made.
Waradi also confirmed that American Airliner United Air has now been designated to start providing services to and from Fiji.
However, Waradi said at this stage it is understood that the airline will not physically fly to Fiji.
