Fiji's international carrier, Air Pacific has revealed that their flight schedules have been disrupted because of events some of which are beyond their control.

Interim Transport Minister, Manu Korovulavula in a press conference late yesterday afternoon told reporters that many of the problems were due to the unavailability of parts for their Boeing aircrafts along with natural disasters.

This comes after a number of flights had to be cancelled over the last week.

Korovulavula revealed that the company has had to hire specialist engineers from Singapore and carry out global search for parts for their aircrafts.

Meanwhile, Air Pacific has reported an increased number of travellers over the festive season.
