Reduced flying hours, the downgrading of flights, the encouragement of pilots and staff to take annual leave, cabin crew, leave without pay and the freezing of recruitment are just some of the issues plaguing Fiji's international airline Air Pacific in light of current challenging trading conditions brought on by devaluation and the current global financial crisis.

Transport Workers Union General Secretary Kamlesh Kumar confirmed they have been having meetings with the airline however they will now discuss even more cost cutting measures.
