The deadline for public submissions on the review of Fiji's International carrier, Air Pacific has been extended.

The chairman of the cabinet taskforce Ratu Epeli Naitalikau said that the extension is to allow submissions from people living abroad and who have an interest in Air Pacific to make their representation.

Ratu Epeli said many complaints have been raised by people, tourism operators, employees and business entities.

He said the Interim government knows that despite the people of Fiji owning 51% in the airline Company through the government, Fiji does not have the final say in a number of important areas of the operation, strategy and long term development of Air Pacific which is why the review is necessary.
