The National Airline Air Pacific has also joined in the effort to help the flood victims by providing free of charge carriage of relief supplies on behalf of registered charitable groups.

The Chief Executive Officer John Campbell said that the Airline Company is only working with registered charities as the ability to co-ordinate all shipping documentation, customs clearance and other regulatory requirements for individual private donors is impossible.

Campbell has requested private individual donors to provide their goods to registered charities for incorporation into the relief supplies that are brought in through those organizations.

He said Air Pacific is working with a number of organizations including the Rotary, Red Cross and the Salvation Army and will continue working as long as necessary for the relied of victims of the flood.
