Our National Airline, Air Pacific is heading for losses of over $2 million incurred due to the unsustainable services to Vancouver Canada effective from November 28th.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Yosephine Yee Joy confirms that with losses averaging $280,000 a month, Air Pacific is expected to incur losses in excess of $2 million by November.

However, she stressed that with the company recently announcing the introduction of twice weekly flights to Coolangatta, Australia from December 1st, it is expected to generate additional traffic for Air Pacific and to Fiji which will have a positive flow effect to Fiji tourism.

Yee Joy also stressed that the withdrawal of the flights to Canada will not have an impact on existing Air Pacific employees.
