The large Air Fiji planes remain grounded since the directive was issued by the Chief Executive Officer last Saturday.

When contacted last night, Air Fiji CEO Saileni Vuetaki confirmed that their services will fully normalize by Friday.

However, despite several questions put to Vuetaki by Fijivillage, he maintained that the directive to ground the planes was due to reasons beyond their control. He said they will not comment further on the matter.

It has been confirmed that Air Fiji is currently using one of its smaller planes for flights to Labasa which resumed yesterday, while other routes are being serviced by planes chartered by Air Fiji at this stage.
