The Chief Executive Officer of Air Fiji Sialeni Vuetaki remains tightlipped on the reasons why a directive was issued by him on Saturday to ground all their planes.

In a statement released this afternoon, Vuetaki said the situation is now being slowly normalized and he apologised to all passengers who were affected due to the flight cancellations.

Vuetaki said the cancellations were due to reasons beyond their control but does not elaborate the reasons for ground their flights.

A senior official earlier confirmed that there were some technical problems but refused to comment further.
It has been confirmed that the Air Fiji flights to Labasa and Kadavu resumed earlier this afternoon while full flight operation will normalize by tomorrow morning.
