Fiji's Ambassador to China Sir James Ah Koy is optimistic that higher authorities will step in to ensure that the Native Lands Trust Board will change its stance on entering into a joint venture with Chinese investors to establish ethanol plants in the country.

After the NLTB confirmed to Fijivillage earlier that it has no intentions to enter a joint venture and will only focus on securing land for the proposed project, Ah Koy lashed out at the NLTB and blamed ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase for its current financial situation.
