Suncourt Hardware Directors, Dhansuk Lal Bhika and Gulabdass Bhika and former fisheries and forests official Suliasi Sorovakatini, today pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to defraud the government of $3.6 million dollars.
It was revealed in High Court this morning that the three along with others, are charged with conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor for allegedly procuring the payments for agricultural equipment under false pretences between September 1st 2000 and August 2001.
The other accused in the case, Manoj Bhika and Jitendra Pratab, were overseas and were not present in court today and have yet to take a plea.
The case is adjourned for mention on the 28th of September.
