The $16 million Agriculture scam trial continued in High Court this morning.
Ministry of Finance Acting Assistant Accountant, Milia Kere Naroba took the stand today and told the court about when she joined Agriculture Ministry and how she came to know Suliasi Sorovakatini, former senior agriculture officer involved in the Scam.
Naroba also told the court that she had seen Pita Alifereti giving an envelope to Suliasi Sorovakatini however she did not know the contents in the envelope.
She also told the court a farming assistance scheme was implemented by Agriculture Ministry and she accompanied Suliasi on number of occasions to attend a workshop in relation to the scheme.
They had also stayed in hotels and resorts and their accommodation which was sometimes paid by the Ministry and sometimes by Suliasi.
The case has been adjourned till Monday.
