After meeting with the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama and Agriculture Minister Joketani Cokanasiga yesterday, Agricultural staff have been deployed to carry out survey work in the affected areas while two teams leave for Taveuni and Savusavu today to assist staff on the ground on the damage assessments.

DISMAC said it is anticipated that the whole post disaster agricultural survey will be completed by this Wednesday.

Weather permitting, a helicopter will today take the Commissioner Northern and his team for further ariel surveys.

It has also been confirmed that more aid from Australia and New Zealand arrive in Fiji today and will be sent to the Northern and eastern division for distribution to the affected areas through government agencies working on the ground.
