Agricultural production will continue to suffer if the Agriculture Ministry does not wake up and take decisive action.
Fiji Labour Party (FLP) Leader and former interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry said he has noticed during his Charter consultations around Fiji that many people want to be involved in the agriculture industry.
Chaudhry said the issue that keeps coming up is that the Agriculture Ministry does not seem to have any sense of direction.
Chaudhry said farmers also want to know whether the long standing land problems will be resolved.
There is no solution as yet on the land problems as ALTA leases continue to expire.
