Agni Deo Singh has been re-elected as the General Secretary for the Fiji Teachers Union after their Annual Elections yesterday.
Singh who retains office for his sixth term said this year will be trying one for the Union as they will now be addressing the issue of retirement which is a pressing issue not only for them but for students.
Close to 4000 members have cast their votes yesterday to elect the union's executive committee. The elections also saw 11 positions being contested with Bal Ram winning the seat of President after getting 1489 votes.
