France Top 14 newcomers Agen have announced this morning that they have suspended the contract of Fijian wing Rupeni Caucaunibuca, who is still absent without leave.
Caucau was given an extra week of holiday but was expected back at training on July 12.
The 30 year old was also told to do something about his growing waistline.
In the Agen website it says that he is yet to turn up and at the close of the 2009/2010 the club management met with Caucau to agree with him on number of imperatives and objectives before his departure on holiday.
It went on to say that above all a date was fixed for his return in relation to his selection with the Fiji team for the Pacific Nation Cup in addition to the individual efforts that the player needed to make to come back in the physical condition needed for the Top 14.
With Caucau still absent, the club have suspended the player's contract "as a precautionary measure" starting from the day he was supposed to be back at training until he returns to France.
While the club added that it would sit down with the player to examine what further measures it would take, the statement adds that it was "in no way releasing Rupeni Caucau from his contract until June 2011.
