The heats of the men's 100 meters proved that age is no barrier when Fiji's Jone Delai took out the first heat in a time of 10.52 seconds in the Oceania Grand Prix event in Darwin yesterday.

Delai was too good for New Zealand's James Dolphin and Chris Donaldson and will feature in the final today. Iowane Dovumatua and William McGoon have also qualified while Jone Mudu and Filipo Delai missed out.

Meanwhile Makelesi Bulikiobo, is back in her best form after finishing the women's 400 meters in a time of 53.12 seconds. Bulikiobo won by more than 50 meters and she was never troubled.

She will feature in the final today alongside Coke Games female athlete of the year Torika Odro, who also won her heat in a time of 59.03 seconds.

The Oceania Grand Prix meet ends tomorrow.
