The South African Sevens team has received a major boost with the return of playmaker Cecil Afrika to the squad.

Afrika is one of three players called up by coach Paul Treu for the South Africa Sevens this weekend.

Treu said he will not take unnecessary risks with Afrika and he will only play if he is fully fit.

Bernado Botha and Cheslin Kolbe are the other two additions to the squad after captain Kyle Brown was ruled out because of a broken ankle.

Meanwhile, Fiji will play England at 10.22pm this Saturday in its first match of the South Africa Sevens.

Fiji’s second match is against Scotland at 1.28am Sunday and the last pool match is against New Zealand is at 5.58am Sunday.

The Cup quarterfinals starts at 11.39pm Sunday, Cup semifinals start at 3.49am Monday and the Cup final will be played at 6.30am Monday.

The Sevens management and the Fiji Rugby Union are still not saying anything on the team’s disappointing performance in Dubai.
