2,000 students affected by the floods will get sandals and boots for the new school term as part of a donation by one of the leading shoe makers in the country.
Dahia Shoes Director, Raman Dahia said instead of giving cash they decided to give 2,000 pairs of shoes which includes 1,000 sandals and 1,000 boots, which would be more helpful to the student for everyday use.
Interim Primary Industries Minister, Joketani Cokanasiga, received the donation on behalf of Interim Education Minister who is away in the west.
