Advance notices impossible-Water Dept
Some residents have raised concern that the Water Supply Department should issue notices beforehand about any water disruption and give reasons, if the water cut prolongs.
Due to non-issuance of water disruption notices, residents facing water cuts are unaware why they are facing this problem and by when services will normalize.
Spokesperson for Water Supply Maika Nagalu said it is difficult as they themselves do not have any idea about water cuts.
The Suva Water Supply is hopeful that water supply in Lami, Veisari, Delainavesi and other affected areas will normalize this hour.
Water supply has normalized at Lami Kava, Lami Pharmacy and some residential areas in Lami.
Nagalu said water engineers are working on a burst main opposite the Total service station which is expected to be complete soon.
The Veisari and Delainavesi water cuts were caused by low water levels at the Tamavua reservoir yesterday after the pump broke down at Savura pumping station following a power cut on Monday night.
