Former Senator Adi Koila Nailatikau is now the new Chairperson for the Constituency Boundaries Commission replacing Ulamila Fa - Tuituku.
A letter written by Fa-Tuituku to the Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum cited family reasons for her withdrawal from the post.
At a press conference this afternoon, Sayed Khaiym said Fa - Tuituku decided to withdraw despite her confirmation prior to the appointment.
Adi Koila Nailatikau, along with Father Kevin Barr of ECREA and Andrew Queet are the members of the Constituency Boundaries Commission whose main task is to undertake a review of the electoral boundaries in preparation for the general elections, which is now to be held in March, 2009.
