The Fiji Rugby Union is highly unlikely to get additional funds from the interim government for the Rugby World Cup.
Government already budgeted $400,000 to this year's Rugby World Cup in France but the FRU requested for an extra $300,000 to cover all the costs for 78 days, starting from preparation till Fiji bows out of the tournament.
Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry said they may not be able to cater more for the FRU because of their tight budget.
Meanwhile, the FMF Flying Fijians will have their final trials this Thursday and a squad of 30 will be announced on Friday for the Rugby World Cup.
