A disgruntled NGO activist Tupou Vere is calling on the military to explain why she was stopped at the Nadi International Airport over the weekend.
Vere who was supposed to represent the Fiji Young Women's Christian Association at a conference in Nairobi was told by immigration officials not to leave Fiji upon instructions from Captain Esala Teleni.
According to Vere, she attended a conference in Australia earlier this year and is concerned why she was stopped this time around.
The military is expected to comment later today.
