The Acting Commissioner of Police has this morning revealed that he is seriously looking into some of the new posts that were created by former Police Commissioner, Commodore Esala Teleni.
Commissioner Joeli Baleilevuka has confirmed that he has already reverted one senior post and is now actively reviewing other posts that were created to see whether there is a real need for these posts.
Baleilevuka added that he will also seriously look into the expenditure of the Fiji Police Force.
The Acting Commissioner met with his senior officers at the headquarters this morning and revealed that they have discussed about the changes that will be brought into the force in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, he will start visiting all the police stations around the country starting this week.
Baleilevuka said he is still trying to familiarize himself with his new post and will be visiting the 4 regions to meet the senior officers who are managing the stations.
He said the Police Force is part of the Government, and maintaining safety and security is his priority adding that they will perform to the level expected by Government.
