Acting Police Commissioner addresses Southern Region officers
These were the words of the Acting Police Commissioner Joeli Baleilevuka during his first address to the Southern Region officers at Nasova this morning.
Baleilevuka added that with transformation also comes transparency and accountability.
He said accountability is paramount and it is an inevitable part of life.
During his briefing he also reiterated the new immediate changes that he has brought in, soon after taking up his appointment.
He has suspended all the religious activities during official hours.
Baleilevuka told the officers that self discipline and smart deployment of all Police resources and personnel in terms of working within the confines of resources is what they should now focus on.
Baleilevuka has also revealed that he is seriously looking into some of the new posts that were created by former Police Commissioner, Esala Teleni.
According to Baleilevuka, he has already reverted one senior position and is now actively reviewing other posts that were created to see whether there is a real need for these positions.
Baleilevuka added that he will also seriously look into the expenditure of the Fiji Police Force.
