Accused in Rabaka case appear today
The nine, Patrick Nayacalagilagi, Taione Lua, Ulaiasi Radike, Epeli Nadura, Ratu Naisa Toutou, Joeli Lesavua, Jona Nareki, Ilaisa Kirimavua and Napolioni Naulia have been charged for the alleged murder of Sakiusa Rabaka on January 28th, 2007, in Nadi.
Justice Gounder will also make a decision on an application made by the DPP prosecutor Wilisoni Kurusiqila which was filed last week for admissibility of evidence by non complainants.
Three of the twenty eight witnesses have already testified in court including Rabaka's mother Alanieta Rabaka.
The trial will resume today with the five assessors who will also be present.
Sakiusa Rabaka died from multiple injuries which were allegedly inflicted by the nine accused.
The accused are made up of police officers and soldiers.
