Police have charged a 23 year old accounts clerk for allegedly stealing more than $112,000 from a prominent supermarket in Labasa.
The man who is originally from Labasa has been charged with one count of larceny by servant and has been told to appear in the Labasa Magistrates Court on the 6th of next month.
Police said the man went missing recently and police managed to locate him hiding in Suva.
According to police, the accounts clerk allegedly stole cash from the company's takings between 2006 and 2008.
The matter was reported to police after senior staff members detected discrepancies in the company's accounts.
