Two separate accidents along Walu Bay at around 10:30 this morning caused a major traffic jam along Walu Bay in Suva.

The first accident occurred at the Junction of Rona Street when a two tonne truck tumbled onto its side after hitting a twin cab which was trying to pull out of the junction.

Both drivers escaped serious injuries as the vehicles were badly damaged.

Police had to direct traffic as the truck lay on its side across the two lane road.

And as police were trying to ensure traffic continued to flow while they removed the truck, two other impatient drivers caused a scene.

A bus hit a private vehicle about 50 meters from the first accident in front of the Fosters factory.

Police moved to the scene to calm the two drivers who had started arguing over whose fault it was.

Police had to once again redirect traffic through the back roads in Walu Bay.
