A 40-year-old man who sustained serious injuries after a digger fell on his company vehicle has passed away at the CWM hospital last night.
Anil Kumar, who was working at the Makans Drugs, Labasa store and was airlifted from Labasa Hospital to CWM this week, passed away yesterday afternoon.
Kumar's nephew, Kamlesh Deo told Fijivillage this morning that Kumar was in coma following the incident.
Post mortem is expected to be conducted later today.
Meanwhile, another employee of Makans Drugs who died in the accident was laid to rest yesterday.
27-year-old Vimal Chand died on the spot after a digger, which was not fastened securely fell off a truck and onto their van at the rear of the truck.
