A 39 woman is dead while her 47 year old husband is fighting for his life in hospital after an early morning accident in Bavu, Nadi.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri confirms that a couple was travelling towards Nadi in their car at around 1.30 this morning when the driver lost control and the vehicle veered off the road.
The car smashed into the trees beside the road.
The woman was rushed to Nadi hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The husband suffered serious injuries and remains in a critical condition at the Nadi hospital.
