45 survivors of the tragic bus fire at Malaqereqere, Sigatoka last Thursday will attend a thanksgiving service at Naevuevu village today after being accommodated in the village for the last 3 days.
Village headman Ratu Kelevi Cavuduadua said the trip to Suva yesterday did not eventuate as they were faced with a technical problem with a bus arranged for them.
The bus load of people was then transported back to the village to spend the night and is expected to leave at 1pm today.
Meanwhile, the village headman acknowledges and said they are thankful to the Turaga na Kalevu, Ratu Sakiusa Makutu and the people who willingly offered food and clothes to the survivors during their stay at Naevuevu village.
Survivors of the Sigatoka Bus tragedy must try to talk to someone or seek professional help about how and what they're feeling.
These are the words of Psychiatrist Selina Kuruleca on the survivors of the bus fire accident which claimed the lives of 10 people last Thursday night.
Kuruleca said there are a lot of symptoms and signs that one experiences after such a tragedy.
Kuruleca added close relatives and friends also have a role to play.
