We have a long way to go in terms of the acceptance of a person living with HIV/Aids.
Those were the words of Fiji Network for People living with HIV's Team Leader Viniana Tabuatamata, who said at the moment they have under their care 37 people living with HIV who have turned to them for support, the youngest of whom is still in secondary school.
Tabuatamata said when a person reveals his or her HIV status the reaction they get is evident of the ignorance that is in society.
The Draft HIV Prevention and Treatment Decree is currently in the process of being finalized and is expected to be presented to cabinet in February next year.
