An academic and one of the architects of the 1997 Constitution said that if he is asked to help the interim administration regarding constitutional matters leading up to the March 2009 General Elections, he would consider it, however, he said he does not expect to be asked by the interim regime for his help.
Dr Brij Lal is of the opinion that there are others here in Fiji that can offer their expertise to the interim administration
Lal was earlier criticised by the Fiji Military Forces for his assessment that the interim government has a lot of challenges ahead of it and the major one is to return the country to democracy and revive the economy.
