The Land Transport Authority agrees that the Land Transport Act needs to be reviewed.
This is the view of LTA's Chief Executive Officer, Abraham Simpson whose comment comes after the Fiji Taxi Union General Secretary, Rishi Ram earlier said there is a need to review the act.
However, Simpson disagrees with Ram's comments that the regulation only said that taxi meters should be fitted, sealed and approved but it doesn't say that it has to be turned on.
