About 160 families from Delaiwaimale and Vatukorosia villages in Naitasiri now have power supply, after the completion of the Rural Electrification Project in their area.

Minister for Works and Energy Col Timoci Natuva officially turned on the lights in the village earlier today.

He said the government is ensuring that the proper infrastructure is provided for the people, particularly in the rural areas.

Colonel Natuva said more than $85,000 was spent on the project at Vatukorosia and $59,000 for Delaiwaimale village which includes the Naduna District School.

Natuva highlighted that $12.4 million has been spent on infrastructure development for the province of Naitasiri this year.
